‘I don't search for beautiful moments.
I search for moments that become beautiful when we pay attention.’
Photography is how I pay attention to life around me.
I’m drawn to the ordinary moments of everyday life. Moments that may seem insignificant, yet quietly shape who we are. Often the things that matter most in life happen without announcing themselves as important.
For more than twenty years, I worked as a nurse in mental health. It taught me to look beyond first impressions and to stay attentive to what is not immediately visible.
Living in Bogotá for a while, studying Middle Eastern Studies, and traveling extensively through different cultures deepened this way of seeing. The places, languages, and traditions changed, but beneath all that the rhythm of everyday life remains the same.
I’m not drawn to places or moments that announce themselves as extraordinary. I’m interested in what happens underneath that: the moments that can easily go unnoticed.
My fine art photographs are made to live with. To become part of a space, a memory, or perhaps even part of your own story.
