‘Seeing the human in people is the core of my fine art photography. In a minimalistic, warm style I want to show the daily life of people with dignity and grace. My work should make you feel connected.’

  • The style of my photography and my focus on human dignity are rooted in layered personal experiences.

In my early 20s I lived for a while Bogotá, Colombia. I started taking photos to share my daily life with family back home. Quickly, photography became more than documentation, it became a way to explore my curiosity about others.

In the Netherlands I worked for many years as a nurse in mental heath care. That experience shaped my vision profoundly: learning to see people in all kinds of -problematic- circumstances, while recognising the dignity that lies beneath the surface.

Out of personal interest, I studied Middle Eastern Studies fascinated by the intersections of politics, religion, and culture. While researching my thesis in Iran, my photography deepened: it became more intentional, gradually developing my own style in art photography.

Much of my early work has been made in Middle Eastern countries.

  • Over the years, I’ve developed a signature photography style grounded in minimalism, warmth, and human presence.

Space and balance play a vital role in my work. It invites attention and reflection. Giving the subject presence, and the viewer space to feel and interpret freely. Every photograph tells a story, but it's yours to finish.

My photos have a limited color palette. Warm tones show quiet emotion, while simplicity keeps the attention where it matters most: on the story of the photo.

At the core of my work is a deep respect for humanity. I aim to capture people naturally: nothing staged, nothing manipulated, and never created with AI. Just real, unstaged moments, composed with a lot of patience and care.

The places where I make my photographs aren’t the main subject, they form the backdrop for what truly matters: the emotional connection you feel when you look at the photo.
